Another Life, Another Death
When she wakes up, she doesn't know where she is. She doesn't even know her own name. She doesn't know what to make of the pool of blood she woke up in and the seemingly random injuries that have been inflicted on her. As she learns more about who she was and what happened to her she's left with even more questions. In a world that pretends to know her, does she even understand herself?

She wakes up. The waking in and of itself is surprising, since she doesn’t remember going to sleep. She sits up, taking in the room around her. It definitely seems like a strange place to have fallen asleep. She’s lying on a hard wood floor, no bed, pillows, or blanket in sight. She can also see the sky above her; part of the roof has collapsed inward, leaving a hole directly above her.
Outside is nicer than she had expected. She doesn't know why she thought stepping outside would be so terrible; all she knows is that her body tenses the moment the door swings open. In truth, the sun shining into the room had provided a glimpse of what she should have expected: bright, clear skies and a soft breeze.
